Going Eco Just Feels Right!
In 2022, Pauletta Collins a military veteran and her son Eric Edwards founded Urban Cleaners LLC, a commercial and residential service provider specializing in green cleaning homes, apartments, medical offices, commercial buildings, and government facilities in Virginia and Maryland. Although the name may not be original, Urban Cleaners strives to set their cleaning business and services apart by providing a cleaning service that uses non-toxic natural cleaning products instead of chemical-based products.
FAQ
How do I schedule cleaning?
You can book online or call our office at (800) 979-8758 to schedule a one-time service or schedule weekly or monthly services. Our office hours are 9am-5pm Monday-Friday (available for weekend cleanings if staff is available) weekend rates apply.
What is your cancellation policy?
If you cancel less than twenty-four (24) hours from your appointment time, you will be charged $100 for the canceled appointment. We kindly ask for a 24-hour notice of cancellation or preferably the most notice you can provide once you know you will not be able to keep the appointment time. We are happy to accommodate you with a rescheduled appointment; however, that will be subject to availability.
A 24hr notice will be given to the client in the event Urban Cleaners needs to cancel a scheduled cleaning appointment.
What payment methods are accepted?

What is your refund policy?
The services will be fully refunded if the services are cancelled at least 24 – 48 hours before the services were scheduled.
What is meant by green/eco-friendly house cleaning services?
This method involves the use of cleaning products that are safer for humans and reduce the impact on the environment.
Urban Cleaners believes in an honest approach when finding the right balance and solutions between green cleaning practices and using eco-friendly sustainable cleaning products.
We use products that have met the U.S. EPA products standards and is Safer Choice Certified and labeled for containing ingredients that are safer for people, pets, and the planet.
What is the cost for residential cleaning services?
The costs of our residential cleaning services are based on several factors (sq footage of your home, number of bedrooms, number of bathrooms, the frequency of cleaning services needed, number of occupants and pets).
Will my home be inspected after every cleaning?
A thorough review and inspection of our cleaning technician’s work will be performed by one of our “Quality Control Specialists” on a regular basis and will be conducted after the cleaning technician has left the residence. This inspection will ensure that our clients are receiving the quality of service they expect and deserve.
Do I need to prep before cleaning day?
Yes! Here are some steps you can take to prepare prior to our arrival:
Make your home accessible. A fee will be charged if we are unable to access your home. (See Terms of Service: Client Responsibility and Lockout Policy, and Cancellation and Lockout Policy)
- Turn off alarm system. We will not be held responsible for false alarms or misuse of the alarm system if left on.
- We kindly request that you clear the designated areas like floors, counters, and tabletops before our providers arrive. Residential cleaning services are calculated based on allotted cleaning times.
- Ensure valuables and/or non-replaceable items are stored away to avoid accidents.
How often should I have my home cleaned?
We recommend a weekly residential cleaning to keep things well maintained.
Do I need a Deep Clean?
We highly recommend a “Deep Clean” for our first-time customers or customers who haven’t had a professional cleaning in the last three months.
Are there services that you don’t offer?

Mold removal: we cannot assume liability for mold-related risks that may be present in the residence

We do not offer cleaning services for areas contaminated with bodily fluids (blood, feces, vomit, urine etc.).
- Hoarding, high levels of trash or debris
- Stepping higher than 3 steps on a ladder
- Moving or lifting anything over 25 lbs.
- Heavy scrubbing of walls
- Unfinished Areas/basements
- Cleaning high areas unable to be reached with 30–100-inch extendable duster
- We also do not service ceiling to floor interior windows or inward folding windows and or storm windows.

Yes! We also carry liability and workman’s compensation insurance for all of our cleaning technicians.
